OptiTrack To Showcase Location-Based Arizona Sunshine At GDC 2018

March 05, 2018
At the beginning of January VRFocus reported on Vertigo Games and HTC Vive revealing a location-based version of popular first-person shooter (FPS) Arizona Sunshine, which was on display at CES 2018 on the HTC Vive stand. With location-based VR becoming evermore popular, VRFocus has learnt that Arizona Sunshine will be making an appearance at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2018, appearing on the OptiTrack booth.
Just as with previous shows, OptiTrack will be demonstrating its tracking technology for room scale to warehouse scale locations. Featuring 600 square feet of untethered, undead action, the multiplayer experience leverages OptiTrack Active, HP Omen backpacks, Oculus Rift’s, and Striker VR weapons, allowing participants to roam freely and experience fully immersive VR in the post-apocalyptic environment.
